I neglect this blog, I know. I'm stressed out with two jobs and school. I don't get to photograph a lot, I don't even read as much as I used to.

Good news: I've gotten a host family in Oklahoma! it's really exciting to know already.

I was at a small party last night. We all had fun and it was really nice! We all agreed that we have to do it again sometime soon. The only bad thing about it was that it ended at 2 o'clock A.M and I got up at 11 A.M. so now I'm reaaally tired.

Twilight: New Moon Tickets

This morning I got a text saying "Nanna! you can't order the New Moon tickets online!". But later on they got released anyway which caused an overload at the cinemas website. After waiting an hour or so I was lucky to get three pretty good seats for November 20.

The pumpkin is made by my upstairs neighbour and their children.

Halloween

Horror Movies

Tomorrow two friends and I are going to watch some horror movies. It actually surprises me that it was the friend who likes horror movies the least that asked if we should wath some.. It would've been nicer to watch them on Halloween but I'm the only one who hasn't made plans.

No More Traning... I Think

Today I got a task at my job at the library. I had to put about 30 books, cd's, MP3 books and some other stuff back at their places. If I don't have too many errors I won't have any more training... at the top floor. Then I'll have to learn the system downstairs but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Vaccines

Today I was at the doctor's office to get two of the required vaccines to get to America. I didn't hurt as much as I'd expected but both my arms (yeah, I got one in each arm) is now totally numb and if I touch them they're sore. Poor me.

Boring Day

It was a boring day at work today. The first hour was really busy, but there wasn't anything to do the last hour. But I've realized just how much I like the job at the library - though it's a "geek" job.

Stressed Out

Right now I'm totally stressed out. Everything has to be done - and it's best if it was done yesterday. I have to work, I have to get up in the morning to go to school, I have to fill out applications. It's not a bed on roses when you want everything right here and now.

German Essay

Today I've been doing all my homework *cough*. I've made one thing and that's my German essay. The most boring class ever is German. I don't understand half of what the teacher is saying - mostly because I don't want to. Why don't they teach us French og Spanish? Languages we can actually use? The teacher's agument? 60,000,000 people speak German. My response? They all live in one place, Spanish is the most spoken language in the world, so there's a bigger chance that we'll have to speak Spanish instead of German.

Fights in the Night

At about 3:30A.M. last night there was a small fight just outside my window. I recognized the voice from last weekend so I knew that it could be a lot worse. Surprisingly the man went away quietly.... I thought. At 5:30A.M. he showed up again, threatening the pub owner to burn down the whole thing and then he dented the owners car before driving away drunk.

Budgets

Last night my uncle sat down and made a budget. The budget showed us that we could end up needing 19.000 DKr.. I hope everything goes as it's supposed so that we don't need all that money.

I Got The Scholarship

As mentioned before today I got the scholarship so that I can go to High School in the States next year. It's something I'm really looking forward to. It was kind of a surprise to get the 'you got the scholarship'-call this morning, since I didn't expect it to come until November. Not to mention that I didn't even expect to get it at all. But I'm very happy with it.

Reading again

Most of my fall vacation is going to be used on reading. I absolutely love reading.

First Day of Work

Today was my first day at my new job. It was kind of nice to work with something I've tried before. But i quickly felt like normal again. This month - and the next - I'll get as many shifts as possible to make some money fast. It's now that I'm new it's possible, because I have to 'know the job better'.

And the headaches continue

I really don't know what's wrong, but my headaches continue, only pausing when I take pills.
I normally don't take pills until I'm almost dying of pain so this is serious.
I'm also waiting for my books to arrive. I've ordered 4 books, in English, of course. I think reading in English has helped my grammar a lot. Today we had a popquiz at school and we got 30 minutes to do it. I was done in 10.

Home From School

I got a day off today. My head still feels twice as heavy as normal and I was so tired that I wouldn't have been able to concentrate anyway.
I should've started at my new job today too, but I figured it wasn't the best idea, since my head only feels normal when I've eaten a lot of pills.
Tonight I'm going to a meeting at my school, though. Parents, students and teachers are going to talk about a London trip next year and I really want to go!

Worst Headache Ever

The last 24 hours I've had the worst headache ever! I've been home alone so I couldn't even get to a doctor before 3 P.M. this afternoon. When I got there he just told me that I had to take two aspirins three times a day and one Ibuprofen twice a day. Fortunately it wasn't a migraine.

Dinner at My Grandparent's House

Homework and a Ruined Bike

We've gotten tons of homework today. But since we have next friday and week 42 off, most of it is first until after the holidays.
Today when I got to the bikeshed at my school, the first thing I saw was that someone (and I know who) burned cigarette ends in to the saddle. It's just not fair when someone does something like that. I've never even spoken to the person who did it..

GTA

I've been playing GTA (Grand Theft Auto) all day. It's quite nice to get rid of some aggressions once in a while.

Does anyone know if it's possible to make your own shoes? I don't care about a prize or anything at this point, but I've fallen in love with the coolest one of a kind designer shoes, which I really want to remake. I'm open to any suggestions!

Evermore

Yesterday I borrowed a book from a friend. It's called Evermore and it's written by Alyson Noël. I've just finished it. It's really good actually, though I thought it would be more Twilight-like. And thank god it's not. I think the Twilight saga is really good, but it can be quite annoying to read the same story over and over again.
Now I'm considering buying the 'immortal series' as it's called. Book two was published in August and I honestly don't know if there's going to be more than those two.

Portraits

Today I helped with some light settings at the photographer's office. She doesn't have a studio anymore, so she's using an empty room, when she has to take portraits. When she was done doing that, she thought it would be nice to use me as a model to try new set ups. I certantly didn't like that! There's nothing I hate more.. I survived though.

I had to work with DOF and shutterspeed at the photographer's office today. When I'd done that, se gave me a piece of paper with 12 subjects I have to interpret and photograph until tomorrow. There's a lot of thing I want to do, but I must admit I don't have the courage to all of them.

Today I went to Esbjerg, to the exchange interview. The woman who interviewed me was really positive about me getting the scholarship, and she really wants me to have it. She also has a daughter who was in the states last year, also as an exchange student, who told me a lot about it.

Broken Mirror

This morning I accidentially stepped on a mirror. It's kind of sad since it was my grandmothers. I luckily enough I'm not supersticious - especially not when I got a new job today.
I went to a library to apply for a job my local library had told me about. I just thought I had to deliver the application, but then the man said he wanted me to an interview since I already was there. About half an hour later he said "Welcome to the company. I'm looking forward to work with you!"

Memories

Yesterday I was asked to tell a memory about a certain person. This brought up all kinds of memories. This picture is from a canoe trip in the spring. It was really fun! We caught shrimps and cooked them over a fire. We didn't know how to steer the canoe properly so the trip took twice the time it should've done.

New Girl in Class

Facebook is a good thing sometimes. For example; two minutes ago I found out that a new girl is starting in my class tomorrow (to you who aren't from Denmark, if any; in Denmark we have a permanent class. We have the same subjects in the same periods, instead of having five different classes with a lot of different people. In Denmark we also go to the same school from infant school to 9th or 10th grade) . I don't look forward to it though. I'm very happy about the class I'm in now, and I know that the girl might start some stir in the class. I hope it all work out..

Midnight Sun

Well I couldn't hold it any longer. Yesterday I started reading the partial draft to Midnight Sun (book no. 5 in the Twilight Saga) and I just finished it 5 minutes ago. Sad Stephenie Meyer hasn't finished it, I think the part that's written i really good! Nice to see the story from another perspective.
The school library librarian asked a few people from my class how many pages We've read through the summer.. I've actually read about 3500 pages!

Exams

Well I don't have any exams just yet. But all of my teachers have said the word "exam" at least 20 times today. My oppinion is that there's plenty of time so why do we have to listen to all the exam talk now? We don't have an exam until May!

First Day of School

It's wasn't nice to get up at 6:30 this morning when I've been sleeping until at least 9.00 o'clock through the holidays.
It helped when two of my best friends were waiting outside my front door to walk to school with me.
We got 28 (!!) books each in my class and they all have to be wrapped in wrapper in just a few days.. My poor back..
The picture's taken with my mother's new compact camera which is actually quite good!

Supermarket

I went to Bilka (a supermarket) with my mother today. There were these looooong queues/lines. We were lucky to find a short one. The lady in front of us had two full carts.
Tomorrow school starts. I'm looking forward to see my friends again, but I'm certainly not looking forward to homework!

Do You Believe In Ghosts?

It's just my mother on a dark lonely road..
I went to the movies to see "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" earlier.. great movie.
Sorry about the late upload, the movie didn't end until midnight and then my mother and I went to take some pictures in the dark.

Warmth

Today has been really hot. And I think I might have caught a flu or a cold or somthing.. Not very nice just days before school start..
